Crossing the State Line
|
| This is your last chance to sign up for "The All-American
Pumpkin Prank," our last Halloween stunt we're ever going to do on ZUG.
I'm asking for one volunteer from each of the 50 United States, and so
far all states have reported in but these six: Idaho, Mississippi,
Montana, Nevada, South Carolina, and West Virginia. If you are from
one of these states, sign
up now, lest your state be forever left out of this historic national
event. Now, let me tell you what some of our readers are doing to make sure we cover all 50 states. ZUG reader Davin Flateau is actually crossing the state line to go sign his piece in Oklahoma. How lame is Oklahoma, that they can't even get one of their own citizens to help out with this patriotic cause? If it weren't for concerned citizens like Davin, they would be totally out of the game. We should rename that state Blowklahoma. So let's all follow Davin's lead. Between us, we can cover these last six states. Perhaps you'll be travelling to Mississippi next week, or your pet groomer or clergyman happens to live in West Virginia. We're so close. I feel like I'm collecting baseball cards. "Anybody got an Idaho? I'll trade you three Californias for an Idaho." The process couldn't be easier. You sign up, you scribble something on the pumpkin, you send it back. We will not sign you up for a vegetable of the month club, bombarding you with pieces of turnips and zucchini. You will not receive trial subscriptions to Produce World or Vegetable Farmer's Weekly. It's a one-time thing ... in fact, it's our last ever one-time thing, so get in while you still can! |
