  This was one of several "cop-out" responses I received, where the Senator apparently couldn't recall a joke -- or at least a clean enough joke -- to send me. Furthermore, Senator Hollings' claim that "I equally appreciate most jokes I've heard or told" has some logical flaws. First, it's difficult to equally appreciate a joke you've heard with a joke you've told. They're two different experiences. Second, this implies that all jokes are created equal, which is something only a robot would say. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that Senator Hollings is a robot. But Hollings was the only Senator to send me back my original postage-paid envelope, so at least he's a friendly robot. | ||
